Hedi Slimane formely of Saint Laurent Paris

As the game of Fashion Musical Chairs continues to play on LVMH has just announced that Hedi Slimane will take over as Artistic Creative & Image Director of Celine replacing the legendary and much loved Phoebe Philo. His first collection will debut in Paris this fall. It was also announced that under Hedi's direction fragrance, menswear, and couture would be launching. Hedi has developed a die-hard following over the years and played a major part in the resurgence of Saint Laurent in addition to being behind the brand's re-branding efforts.

His return to fashion is highly anticipated as their were rumors he would be taking over at Dior or Chanel. He hasn't been associated with a brand since leaving Saint Laurent on not so amicable terms after the brand completely wiped any trace of Hedi and his work from their social channels after his departure. Hedi or one of his representatives went on a rant of their own through his Instagram in which they called out Saint Laurent for trying to diminish his contributions to the brand.

So who's excited for Celine menswear? Start saving now gentleman!
